Are you feeling swamped with blogs yet today? I said I would put up some more life drawings when I got the chance. I decided to not put up a whole ton. But here are two. One is an example of the type of figure drawings I am producing right now. I still need a lot of practice. The other is an example of some quick gesture drawings that I like to do at the start of each life drawing session.
I have gotten in the habit now of staying up to watch Mash for an hour after everyone else has gone to bed. I use that time to laugh, relax, and work out ideas in my sketchbook. Recently I have had character design on my mind. So, here are three characters that came out of my sketchbook last night. They aren't for any project I'm working on, they just kind of happened. So, I thought I would put them up.
Today is my 25th birthday. I was doing some character designs and decided that I wanted to do a Flygirl just for the fun of it. Here is my Flygirl pinup. Always wanted one. Nothing finished, it's just a rough drawing I wanted to do just cause it's my birthday. Thought it ended up kinda fun.

Here's two random sketch pages from exploring my new character "Firebrand". She has just been introduced in the comic. Just follow the Felicity Ulrich link in the link's section. Anyways. Here is how I start to explore a character with sketches. You can see the final result in the comic. I also have a ton of new figure drawings I've done. I will post a few when I get the chance.
Hello. Got some sketch stuff from felicity project that I thought I would put on. I actually have a lot more because I was trying to develope a new character for my comic. I was having trouble defining her look, so I spent a few days just exploring and drawing. Anyways, this is just some more felicity stuff that happened in the meantime.

Here is a sketch page that turned out while I was life drawing. I had a bunch of people that wanted a long pose, so I moved around and drew from different positions of the same pose. It turned out that I had three drawings turn out really nice on one page. So I just scanned the page as is and wanted to post it.
